Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data I collect through this website, why I collect it, and the choices you have. I keep it to the minimum I need to reply to you and run the site.

Who I am

This website belongs to Sazzad Hossain, a freelance web developer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact me about anything in this policy at my email address.

What I collect

When you use the contact form

I collect the details you type in:

Your IP address is also used for a short time (about a minute) to stop the form being flooded with spam. It isn't stored with your message.

When you browse the site

Like most websites, my hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested). These are used for security and to keep the site working.

If you accept analytics cookies, I also collect information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay and roughly where you are (country or city level). This is done with Google Analytics. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Why I use it, and the legal basis

I don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and I never sell it.

Who I share it with

I only share your data with the services that make this website work:

I may also disclose data if the law requires it.

International transfers

I'm based in Bangladesh, and some of the services above store data in other countries, so your data may be processed outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where that happens, I rely on safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

Contact messages are deleted automatically after 24 months, or sooner if you ask. If we end up working together, I keep project emails and records for as long as needed for the project and any legal, tax or accounting requirements.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under UK or EU GDPR), you have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email me at my email address. I'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

The Cookie Policy explains which cookies this site uses and how to control them.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle your data, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
